WHEREAS CLUB 20 supports the local government powers for developing land use decisions, and
WHEREAS county governments have review process for considering land use decisions involving public hearings and public notifications, and
WHEREAS proposed special land use designations by Federal agencies have a dramatic impact on local citizens and functional economies, often dependent on public lands for their very survival,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that CLUB 20 believes the Boards of County Commissioners within whose jurisdiction proposed special land use designations occur, move rapidly to conduct their own land use review, including public hearings involving all interest groups, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that CLUB 20 support the local review effort in providing information in a timely manner.
