TR-00-2-International Air Service Market Expansion in Colorado

WHEREAS it is important to Western Colorado’s economy to expand access to world markets and such opportunities could be provided by enhancing international air service at Denver International Airport (DEN) and other Colorado commercial service airports; and

WHEREAS DEN, and other Colorado commercial service airports, have established themselves as world leaders in facilitating air transportation for business, leisure, and air cargo, and

WHEREAS DEN, and other Colorado commercial service airports, are essential to relieving commercial airline congestion on both the east and west coasts; and

WHEREAS Colorado is now a global hub for the aerospace, cyberspace security, and advance manufacturing, requiring interconnectivity with international connections in order to help sustain the United States as a leader in these and many other industries;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Club 20 fully supports efforts to secure, maintain, and expand international air service to international hubs and other Colorado commercial service airports.
