WHEREAS Colorado has been woefully short on funding for transportation infrastructure improvements throughout the state for many years, and
WHEREAS Colorado will soon have the ability to bond against future revenue after current bonds are paid off, and
WHEREAS Colorado has many projects that are waiting for funding for completion, and
WHEREAS the State Legislature passed SB-228 listing projects waiting to be funded, and
WHEREAS some of the projects are located on the Western Slope of Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that CLUB 20 supports bonding against future CDOT revenue, as long as there is a stable and sustainable new funding source available to repay the debt, and it will not hinder maintenance of our current transportation system now and into the future.
